                                       PROSTHESIS
• Prosthetics are all artificial materials that are prepared to restore the needs and aesthetic appearance of the functions of chewing, speaking, etc. of the teeth that have been lost due tovarious reasons in the mouth.
• In the denture, the loss of oral health is corrected. For this purpose, the lost lip, cheek support, speech function, chewing function and aesthetic image are recovered. Psychological support is provided to individuals who have forgotten to laugh and who have to live with missing or ruined teeth. It is aimed to increase the quality of life of people with the prosthesis.

                                        PROSTHETIC VARIANTS
• Fixed prosthesis: It is a prosthesis such as a crown-bridge that the patient can not remove itself.
• Total prostheses: All patients with missing teeth are treated.
• Partial prosthesis: Partially applied to toothless mouths. Fingernails and hooks are attached to the teeth.
• Precision retaining prosthesis: It is applied to partially edentulous mouths.

                                 CROWN-BRIDGE PROSTHESIS
                                        (FIXED PROSTHESIS)

• In the construction of dentures, a certain amount of material is removed from the tooth surface and a procedure called dental cutting (dental reduction) is performed. The dentures are used by being adhered to the teeth and can not be removed by the patient.
• Fixed dentures made to replace lost teeth with support from neighboring teeth in the presence of one or more missing teeth are called BRIDGE.
• Fixed prostheses made for the restoration of aesthetic and function by covering the teeth which have been damaged due to the caries or trauma are called KRON.

WHAT MUST BE PERFORMED AFTER THE INSTALLATION OF THE CROWN-BRIDGE PROSTHESIS
• After the teeth are cut, the bridge prostheses can be painted for a while until they are inserted and after they have been installed. This period will continue until the tooth returns to its new position.
• Dental pain can be controlled with a pain medication.
• It can be difficult to get used to dentures. In the first days, a big crowd may be felt in the mouth. Excess chewing can not be done.
• Hard foods should be avoided to prevent breakage and damage of the prosthesis.
• Cleaning of dentures is important for long life. After each meal, the residues between dental and bridge prosthesis should be cleaned at least once a day with natural teeth, using dental floss and interface brush.
• Each prosthesis has a life span. Depending on the changing tissues in the time, the prosthesis becomes harmonious and difficult to use
